Layout: 25 long linesHistory: The prayers on f.156r are present in Paris, BNF, MS lat. 14167, ff. 42r-v - there together with three others and followed by the name "Hildg." Clerval suggested that the prayers were composed by Hildegaire / Hildegarius (d. ca. 1032-1040) - student of Fulbert of Chartres (lit.: Clerval, Les écoles de Chartres au moyen-âge du Ve au XVIe siècle, 1895, p. 104, n. 1). The Paris manuscript is also a collection of Fulbert's works written in s. XImid (M.-Th. Vernet, "Notes de Dom André Wilmart sur quelques manuscrits latins anciens de la Bibliothek nationale de Paris" in Bulletin d'information de l'Institut de recherche et d'histoire des textes, 6, 1957, 7-40, esp. 20). There is probably no direct connection between the two manuscripts. Still, the content of Vat. lat. 1783 and the presence of (Hildegarius') prayers suggests the manuscript was copied by someone with connection to the school of Chartres and high appreciation of Fulbert's works. — A note from the 15th c. (Bastarda) on f. 1r "in fulda hospes johannes von sassen" suggests the manuscript was in Fulda at the time.
